Gabriel Landeskog will be an assistant captain for Sweden at the Winter Olympics. The 21-year-old forward, who serves as the captain of the Colorado Avalanche was a bit surprised by the decision. "It was a bit unexpected but on the other had, I am grateful for the confidence and of course it's a great honor to get the nomination," Landeskog said in Swedish to Expressen. He received the letter because of Henrik Sedin was unable to attend the 2014 Winter Olympics because of injury. This will Landeskog's first Olympic Games and he's slated to play on the Swedes' top line line Henrik Zetterberg and Alexander Steen.
