Gabriel Landeskog recorded the game-winning goal midway through the third period and had an assist in the Colorado Avalanche's 3-2 win over the Phoenix Coyotes on Thursday night. After a lull, which is expected for a 19-year-old rookie, Landeskog has six points in his last seven games. With five goals and 19 points, he may not have the offensive numbers of some other rookies, but he is making an impact in all situations for the Avs. Plus, he does have 116 shots (good for 27th in the league) this season, so it's not like he's struggling to get chances. Kevin Porter (third) and Stefan Elliot (fourth) also notched goals in the win.
