Gabriel Landeskog is enjoying a solid rookie season despite his lengthy goalless skid. He hasn't found the back of the net in 16 consecutive games, but he is still contributing in other avenues while playing in all situations for the Avalanche. "There are probably times during the course of a season where he's going to get a little tired," coach Joe Sacco said. "He plays a lot. He plays over 17 minutes a night and this is his first year in the league. He plays on power play, he plays in penalty killing, plays some four-on-four, he plays in all situations. So I don't see how we can say how we don't like his progress. It's definitely going in the right direction. He does a lot of things that don't show up on the scoresheet." Landeskog leads the team with 81 hits and 95 shots. He also owns a plus-5 rating and he has posted 13 points in 31 games. He will look to snap out of his goal drought on Thursday night in San Jose.
