Friedman, selected in the third round of the 2014 NHL Draft, spent the past three season playing for Bowling Green State University. During his collegiate career, the defenseman racked up 16 goals and 52 helpers, along with 143 PIM. Having signed his contract, the 21-year-old will finish out the year with AHL Lehigh Valley.
