Friday's game versus the Detroit Red Wings will be Joey MacDonald's first start against his former team since March 27, 2009. MacDonald earned a 42-save shutout in that contest. This will also be his first start in three games. "I spent a lot of time in Detroit, a lot of guys I played with for a long time," MacDonald said. "It's going to be exciting to get back in (net). You sit for two or three games and you just get itching." He has a 3.01 GAA and .894 save percentage in six games this season.
