Despite being healthy all season, Frattin has appeared in just six games for the Leafs this season, averaging 7:02 of ice time on the team's fourth line. His removal from the roster would allow the team to clear a spot for Joffrey Lupul (finger), who could be set to return from injured reserve in advance of Thursday's game against the Lightning.
