Former Bruins defenseman Andrew Ference will be playing his first game in Boston today since joining the Oilers as a free agent in the off-season. "It's obviously a place where I spent a lot of time," Ference said following practice Friday. "My family grew up here, so the kids came back for this trip. They actually both went back to their old schools (Friday) with all their old buddies, so it's pretty cool. They have a lot of roots here." Ference has been cleared to play after sitting out the previous three games with concussion-like symptoms. The Oilers captain smacked his head on the glass absorbing a hit against the Phoenix Coyotes a week ago. While the impact did not appear severe, it did enough to knock him out of the lineup.
