Foligno (hand) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday. With coach Ted Nolan revealing Tuesday that the winger could miss around two months with the suspected broken hand, the team moved Foligno to IR to free up roster space. Prospect Joel Armia was recalled by the Sabres in a corresponding move.
