Vrana will miss the start of training camp due to a visa issue, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
General manager Steve Yzerman didn't seem too concerned that Vrana's visa issue would linger into the start of the season, especially considering the team's first preseason game isn't until Sept. 29 against Chicago. Vrana racked up 11 points in 11 games for the Wings last season and figures to continue filling a top-six role with Detroit, including logging time with the No. 1 power-play unit. As such, the 25-year-old Czech could provide top-half fantasy value and push for the 40-50 point mark.
