Fasth was placed on injured reserve by the Oilers on Wednesday. Fasth appeared in two of Edmonton's three games this season, posting a 0-1-1 record, 5.19 GAA while allowing seven goals on 54 shots. Fasth was pulled early from Edmonton's game on Tuesday against the Kings with the groin injury although he had already given up three goals on just 11 shots. Ben Scrivens will now assume the starting role between the pipes for the Oilers.
