The Senators selected Sanderson with the fifth overall pick in the 2020 Entry Draft, and it wouldn't be surprising to see the 19-year-old blueliner sign his entry-level deal following the conclusion of this year's NCAA season. The 6-foot-2 lefty could get a brief audition with the big club this season, but it wouldn't be surprising to see the Senators send him to AHL Belleville after a few games to avoid burning a year off Sanderson's entry-level contract.
