This is Falk's first call-up to the NHL as part of the 2016-17 season. He picked up four assists with 17 PIM with the Blue Jackets last season. Dmitry Kulikov (undisclosed) and Zach Bogosian (knee) are dealing with injuries for the Sabres, so the 28-year-old Falk has a chance to draw into the lineup Friday for a home tilt against the Devils.
