Fabbri scored two power-play goals in the Blues' 8-4 loss to the Blue Jackets on Saturday. He had been a healthy scratch for the team's previous game Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The healthy scratch was the first of Fabbri's career, a decision that head coach Ken Hitchcock attributed to the forward's waning tenacity. It appears the coach's message was heard as Fabbri played like a top-six foward, generating four shots on net while skating on a line with Jori Lehtera and Vladimir Tarasenko. He's certainly done enough to warrant staying in the lineup going forward, particularly as the team's been starving for goals the last few weeks. And, apparently from the team's soft showing against Columbus, Hitchcock has bigger things to deal with than Fabbri's tenacity.
