Evgeni Nabokov was the victim of bad luck Thursday and found himself on the wrong end of a 2-1 decision against the Rangers. The Islanders netminder managed to stop 35 of 37 shots in the losing effort, but he was working on a shutout until the Rangers scored a goal with a little over five minutes to play in the game. Nabokov was then victimized again early in overtime after the Rangers found themselves with a 4-3 power play. It was an unfortunate result considering how well he played in this contest.
