Evgeni Nabokov (groin) is expected to serve as the backup or starter on Saturday. Netminder Kevin Poulin has been sent to the minors, so the Islanders only have two healthy goaltenders, including Nabokov. He was originally expected to return Thursday, but he suffered a minor setback during Wednesday's practice.
