Evgeni Nabokov (groin) has been placed on injured reserve. He is projected to be sidelined for at least four weeks. Nabokov was injured on Saturday against Detroit. Kevin Poulin will serve as the Islanders' No. 1 goaltender in his absence and Anders Nilsson has been called up to serve as the club's backup.
