Waiving Etem could be a sign that Rickard Rakell's visa issues have been resolved. Etem played in just two of the Ducks' first seven games this year and averaged 6:01 of ice time in those two outings. When you consider his limited opportunities, it should come as no surprise that the 24-year-old was essentially a temporary fill in on Anaheim's roster. If he goes unclaimed, the team will reassign him to AHL San Diego.
