Eriksson agreed to a six-year, $36 million contract with the Canucks on Friday, ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
There was initially believed to have been mutual interest in keeping Eriksson in Boston, but his new contract comes at an average annual value of $6 million and that's simply too much for the B's. The Bruins were the fifth-best scoring team in the league in 2015-16, and they remain deep at the forward spot even after dealing Eriksson. Look for the 30-year-old to slot right in with the Sedin twins in Vancouver, but understand that his fantasy value could take a hit given that the Canucks aren't nearly as proficient as his former club from an offensive standpoint.
