Erik Johnson (groin) participated in an optional morning skate on Wednesday, but he won't face the New Jersey Devils. He is eligible to come off injured reserve, but that won't happen until he is ready to return to the lineup. Johnson has been out of action with a groin injury since Nov. 20.
