Erik Johnson (concussion) skated on Sunday and was cleared for contact. It was an optional practice for the Avs but it was good for Johnson who skated hard and could be ready to return to action as early as Tuesday. It has been a disappointing season thus far for Johnson who was taken first overall in 2006 by the Blues before being traded to Colorado in Feb. 2011. He signed a four-year extension in the off-season but has only one assist in 11 games thus far this season.
