Erik Christensen and Sean Avery are battling it out for the 13th and final forward spot on the Rangers. Both bring a different quality to the team so it is likely going to be a revolving door to start the season. Coach John Tortorella indicated that the battle is still open however the team needs to be dwindled down by one roster spot by October 4th.
