Wheeler was placed in the NHL's COVID-19 protocols Monday.
EDGE Analysis
While Wheeler hasn't been officially ruled out versus Minnesota on Tuesday, he should probably be considered questionable at best. Through two games this year, the 35-year-old center has recorded one assist, three shots and two hits while averaging 20:36 of ice time. If Wheeler is deemed unavailable against the Wild, Pierre-Lud Dubois is the most likely candidate to fill in on the first line while Paul Stastny moves back to the center position in a top-six role.
