Ekblad tallied an assist and posted a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 6-1 victory over the Hurricanes. This was Ekblad's first point since Mar. 19 and his 25th assist of the season. The 19-year-old has his best hockey ahead of him, but still put together one of the strongest season's of any rookie defenseman, currently sitting in second behind John Klingberg for most points among all rookie blue-liners. Ekblad is both a strong play this season and a high-profile target in dynasty leagues as he has a chance to be one of the top scoring defensemen for years to come.
