Given that the Penguins recalled two blueliners from AHL Wilkes-Barre Scranton on Saturday without any immediate explanation, it would seem to indicate that Ehrhoff, who didn't participate in the team's morning skate, will be forced to miss his first game of the season. He could be a candidate for injured reserve if the Penguins believe his injury is more serious than a day-to-day situation.
