Quick was sharp throughout the game but allowed a Torey Krug shorthanded goal late in the third period to force overtime. The 35-year-old Quick was unchallenged in overtime and turned aside two of four shootout attempts to earn his second consecutive win. He's now 2-3-1 with a 2.47 GAA and a .915 save percentage in six outings. He seems to be earning the hot hand over Cal Petersen for now, so it wouldn't be too shocking to see Quick in goal Friday versus the Devils, but an official starting goalie for that contest has yet to be announced.
