McNabb was playing in his second game after missing 13 with an arm injury. The 31-year-old set up William Karlsson for a shorthanded empty-net goal late in the third period. McNabb doesn't add much on offense -- he has 12 points in 57 outings this season -- but the defenseman is a big physical presence with 147 blocked shots, 119 hits and a plus-8 rating in a top-four role.
