Dustin Penner's goal with less than a second left in the second period stood up as the game winner Friday night. The shot seemed to catch Blues goalie Brian Elliott off guard, with Elliott sitting back in the crease instead of challenging the shot. Penner's goal felt like just another piece of bad luck for the Blues, who gave everything they had in the series but were eliminated by L.A. for the second straight season.
