Dustin Penner doesn't have a point in four preseason games. Penner has a chance to play alongside Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry this season, but nothing is set in stone. "We want it to work," Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau said. "But in the end, he's going to have to be the one that produces and shows that he deserves to be on that line." The experiment has been complicated by the fact that Perry's been dealing with a torso injury. Still, this is one situation that's worth keeping a close eye on in October.
