Dupuis will be sidelined for at least the next six months because of a a blood clot in his lung.
"Pascal had a blood clot in his leg that traveled to his lung," said Pens' team physician, Dr. Dharmesh Vyas. "The treatment is at least six months of blood thinners, during which time he will not be able to play hockey. Other than that, his condition is stable." Dupuis' absence on the team's No. 1 line could be filled by Patric Hornqvist -- who was recently shifted to the second unit, Beau Bennett, or a combination of forwards.
