In his lone preseason contest, Wallstedt stopped 33 of 35 shots versus the Stars on Thursday. Despite the strong performance, Wallstedt was never going to make the 23-man roster unless there was a significant injury to Marc-Andre Fleury or Filip Gustavsson.
