With an impressive group of veteran blue liners ahead of him on the depth chart, it appears nothing has changed for the 29-year-old Diaz in his second tenor with the organization. The Swiss defenseman played most of the night with Chris Summers on the team's third-pairing. Diaz will need to string together quite a few of these nights over the next few weeks to have any hope of being team's seventh defenseman on opening night.
