Despite Ondrej Pavelec's take on his non-renewal with Liberec, a report out of Winnipeg indicates the Czech team didn't want him back due to poor performance.

Pavelec made it sound as if he wanted to come back to North America after November 4th as he felt the NHL season could be saved. But according to the Winnipeg Free Press, Pavelec was just cut due to his 3.52 and .896 save percentage in 14 games. That's not a good sign for the Jets who just committed $3.9 million to Pavelec to be their starting goalie.
