Despite all the media criticism directed towards Tomas Kaberle during the playoffs, he might end up being re-signed. Kaberle is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent this summer. The Bruins won the Stanley Cup with him, but that doesn't necessarily mean they won it because of him. Although the blame doesn't solely lie with Kaberle, the Bruins' power play was abysmal for most of the playoffs and Kaberle was primarily brought in to help with that. However, that doesn't mean he's incapable of helping the Bruins and he did improve as the playoffs went on. The Bruins could use a puck-moving defenseman, which is why they traded for him in the first place. Boston might end up inking him to an extension to fulfill that need.
