Derek Stepan is hoping the break in the Ranger schedule will help him emerge from his recent scoring slump. The talented sophomore has only six points in his last 11 games despite playing on a line with Marian Gaborik and getting ample power-play ice time. "My game hasn't been where it needs to be," Stepan said. "I'm not the fastest skater, so I have to be smart out there, and I don't know whether it's mental or physical, maybe both. I've had some good minutes, but we're evaluating what I need to be doing." We still think Stepan will be a very valuable fantasy asset, so stick with him while he works out his issues.
