Defenseman Justin Schultz scored a goal and assisted on two others to lead the Edmonton Oilers to a 4-1 triumph Monday night of the cross-province Flames, who were visiting from Calgary. Schultz was supposed to add a great deal of offense to the Oilers' attack this season but his goal Monday was only his sixth of 2013. His assists were his 12th and 13th. Also scoring goals for Edmonton were Taylor Hall, his 12th, Ryan Jones, his second, and rookie Nail Yakupov, his seventh. Hall, Jones and Yakupov also had assists.
