David Clarkson may hear from the league for his hit on New York Rangers forward Brandon Dubinsky during Monday's loss. He was assessed a two-minute penalty for charging on the play and another five for dropping the gloves with Dubinsky after the hit. Clarkson said he jumped to try to avoid Dubinsky on the play. "The puck is nowhere near and he comes into me," he said. "The glass is there and I have nowhere really to go. I'm coming down the wall and there's no puck and when the guy is angling you off, if I jump to the middle I could clip him, but it was just one of those plays." Clarkson finished the night with 19 minutes in the sin bin to boost his total to 116 on the year. The 27-year-old winger has also gotten the job done offensively for the Devils with 24 goals and 34 points in 62 games, so he has been a valuable fantasy player in 2011-12.
