David Backes (upper body) didn't participate in Friday's morning skate. Backes still hasn't been ruled out for Friday night's game, but we doubt he'll be in the lineup. He has already missed two contests since he Brent Seabrook struck him with a high hit. If Backes sustained a concussion, then the fact that he hasn't been skating likely means that he isn't close to returning.
