David Backes scored the only goal of the game for St. Louis in a 2-1 loss to the Blue Jackets Tuesday. Despute the loss, Backes salvaged his fantasy night as the marker he counted came on the penalty kill and he added four penalty minutes and five shots on goal in the process. David Perron drew the only assist on the goal.
