David Backes played in all three games to close out St. Louis' seven-game road trip despite suffering a bruised foot. He was excused from practice Saturday and he didn't skate on Sunday morning as well to get him some rest. Backes had two goals and one assist over those three contests after he blocked a shot against Tampa Bay on Mar. 17.
