David Backes has been seen wearing a walking boot and he may not be available to play before the regular season is over. "He is going to be out for potentially three games and then play," said coach Ken Hitchcock, suggesting that Backes could be ready when the playoffs begin. He was injured Tuesday night after his left foot was struck by a shot from teammate Alexander Steen.
