Darling will draw the start in goal Saturday against the Islanders, Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune reports. Since rejoining the Blackhawks in the wake of Corey Crawford's injury, Darling has taken the reins of the No. 1 goalie job, going 3-0 with a 1.62 GAA and .945 save percentage over his three turns. Crawford is expected to return at some point next week, but Darling has made a strong argument that he should stick around as the Blackhawks' backup goalie over Antti Raanta. He remains a solid play Saturday, despite his relative lack of NHL experience.
