Darling made 17 of 18 saves in a 3-1 win over Pittsburgh on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Although this was just his tenth appearance of the season, it was Darling's second in four games -- both of which amounted to wins. Aside from a second-period power-play marker by Evgeni Malkin, Darling was perfect in securing the second victory for the Hawks in as many nights against the Penguins. Darling is now 4-3-2 with a .909 save percentage and 2.60 GAA and makes for a serviceable spot-start option in the rare occurrences he gives workhorse Corey Crawford a night off.
