Darling (hand) will be available to serve in a backup capacity Tuesday against the Canadiens, Scott King of WGN Radio reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Blackhawks initially feared that Darling would be sidelined for three weeks after it was announced March 4 that he was dealing with the hand injury, but the netminder was able to cut his recovery timetable in half. Once the Blackhawks are able to ease Darling back in, coach Joel Quenneville may opt to deploy a timeshare in goal with Darling and No. 1 starter Corey Crawford, whose numbers have been inferior to his backup's this season.
