Dany Heatley is in a position to bounce back from a disappointing 2011-12 campaign after undergoing successful knee surgery. Heatley's knee feels "better than it has in four or five years." The Wild missed the playoffs, so Heatley has been using that extra time to heal and get stronger. He had 24 goals and 53 points in 82 games in 2011-12.
