Daniel Winnick was placed on the top line alongside Paul Stastny and Matt Duchene Thursday. The injury to David Jones created a void on the top unit and Winnik showed that he belonged with a goal and an assist in the 5-4 loss to San Jose. Winnik has five goals and 13 points and he saw second power play duty as well, alongside Stastny and T.J. Galiardi with Erik Johnson and Kyle Quincey, while Gabriel Landeskog, Duchene, Milan Hejduk, Stefan Elliott and Ryan O'Reilly played on the first unit.
