Daniel Carcillo could end up serving a 10 or 20 game suspension for using physical force against an official during Thursday's contest.
Such an act comes with serious automatic suspensions. The difference between a 10 and 20-game suspension would be Carcillo's intent. If it's determined that he "applied physical force" against an official without an intent to injure, then he would be handed a suspension of at least 10 games. If his actions "could reasonably be expected to cause injury," then he'll get a suspension of at least 20 games. However, there is a lesser three-game automatic suspension for using force for the sole purpose of trying to break free of an official, so there's a chance he might end up with that punishment instead.
