Daniel Alfredsson will sit out Wednesday's game against Boston because of a lower-body injury. He is being listed as day-to-day. Injuries aren't new for the Red Wings, as the club has been hit hard all season long in that regard. Alfredsson is the latest player to head to the infirmary. He has 45 points in 63 games this season, including three goals and five assists in his past nine outings.
