Daniel Alfredsson scored two of Ottawa's five third period goals, but came up short, losing to the Leafs 6-5. Alfredsson looked like he was 10 years younger in the third period, netting a pair, but it wasn't enough. The 36 year old is in for a long season, as this Sens team has a chance at, for the lack of a better word, earning, the first overall pick in next summers draft. His back issues will flair up as the season progresses, but when he's healthy, he will be a quality play in all formats. Jason Spezza, Coling Greening, Stephane Da Costa rounded out the scoring for the Sens, while defenceman Erik Karlsson added three assists.
