Daniel Alfredsson says he will return to the Ottawa Senators next season. There was question as to whether the 40-year-old Alfredsson would return next season, although GM Bryan Murray has been optimistic the captain would be back in Ottawa. Alfredsson will likely operate on a series of one-year deals from here on out, much like Teemu Selanne has in Anaheim. Alfredsson had 10 goals and 26 points in 47 regular-season games last season.
