Daniel Alfredsson is dealing with a back injury. Alfredsson will miss Game 3 of Detroit's playoff series against Boston as a result. He previously was unavailable for the Red Wings' regular season finale and six games in January due to back issues. He had no points or shots on goal in two playoff contests.
